I am not just another fitness coach, I am the one who will actually help you succeed!

Let me introduce myself:

I am a funny, introverted, loyal, optimistic, analytical knowledge seeker. Never happy with the standard answer, I love to ask questions and go down rabbit holes. I’m not afraid to take an unpopular stance on something if I think it is right.

Even though I never particularly liked children, I am a mom of 5 and (so far) a grandma of 2!

I spent the early years of my career in the 9-5 business world before leaving it all to be a stay-at-home-mom. Now that the kids are grown, I have been able to engage with my lifelong passion for fitness by opening my own coaching business.

While I have always been interested in movement, I was never particularly athletic. In fact, since I was extremely introverted as a child I was very reluctant to take part in team sports. I did enjoy ice-skating, tennis, golf - - individual sports like that. But truthfully, I was mostly sedentary until my late teens.

During the aerobics craze of the 1980s I caught the fitness bug. I loved how amazing movement made me feel! But my body wasn’t ready for high-impact aerobics, running and all the other popular crazes that I dove right into, head-first.

So, like you, I have experienced ups and downs with managing my weight, repeated injuries, aches and pains, and my overall health. I have tried and failed to reach my fitness goals, many times. I have had to modify exercises and re-assess my goals, many times.

So when I say I know exactly what you’re going through and where you want to be - I really do!

You may be taking care of ⁣growing children, grown children, grandchildren, aging parents, extended family and any or all of the above⁣⁣....while simultaneously working hard on your career and/or community involvement⁣⁣.....all at precisely the time in your life when your body is going through significant changes. ⁣

⁣⁣Changes that can derail even the most healthy, organized or athletic person. ⁣⁣⁣

What you fail to realize is YOU are your important loved one. ⁣⁣⁣

You might think becoming stronger, leaner and more mobile is impossible at your age. ⁣⁣⁣

You may have resorted to quick-fix solutions that were costly, restrictive, too strenuous, and didn't work long-term. ⁣

You may feel overwhelmed by all the information out there so you just tune it out.⁣

⁣⁣You find it hard to believe you can achieve permanent weight loss without counting, weighing and other restrictive food rules. ⁣⁣⁣

You may have told yourself having chronic aches and pains is inevitable. ⁣⁣⁣

Maybe you can't visualize it right now, but it IS possible to improve health risk factors common to women our age. ⁣⁣⁣

You CAN look forward to a future of independence, confidence and satisfaction in your body and your life.⁣⁣⁣

Here’s what I am NOT

- I am not a nutritionist.

- I am not a registered dietician.

- I am not any kind of therapist.

I don’t provide calorie/macro targets, or meal plans. Not only because it would be illegal, but because I don’t believe it will be sustainable for most people long-term (unless there’s an underlying health issue that requires them).

My goal is for you to become an intuitive eater without the need to count, weigh or track calories/macros. I want you to have the skills to make your own meal plans with foods you enjoy and that you know you’ll mostly stick to.

While I do provide workouts, the best workouts are the ones you will actually DO, so I’ll help you design your own workout routines and fit them into your busy schedule.

Therapists are backward-looking. Coaches on the other hand help you accept things as they are, and decide what the next steps should be.

Every day we ask “what matters most TODAY?”

If you are feeling dejected because things haven’t gone according to plan for a day or so, you will learn to ask yourself “ok, so what am I going to do TODAY?, rather than throw in the towel and give up.

Together, we will weave together every aspect of your health, focusing on the foundations first; stress, sleep, recovery, and mindset.

My job is to listen and to help you educate yourself on why and how you got here, then develop a step by step behavior shifting/habit building plan to get you out and back in the game of life without feeling like a total failure.

I am here to make a difference in your mindset, your habits and your overall health. No matter what is happening in our big wide world, or in your immediate world, you can always sharpen your mind, fuel your body, and prepare yourself to operate at your very best!
