If you can see yourself as part of a larger whole, rather than some isolated person swimming in a sea of information, you’ll be more likely to succeed
Maxed-out is a popular phrase these days. It means you have reached a limit or threshold after which no further achievement, potential, or progress seems possible.
Both of these pictures are of me in a maxed out state, but don’t let that smile fool you (yes, I know one is an avatar, I happen to like mine). Like you, most of the time I put on a brave face when in reality my head truly is exploding.
I’ll share more of my story in the group, but in case you don’t know me here’s a brief bio.
I spent the early years of my career in the business world before leaving it all to be a stay-at-home-mom, raising my five children full-time. They are now all grown up, my youngest is in high school. I even have grandchildren!
Like you, I have experienced ups and downs with managing my weight, injuries, aches and pains, and my overall health. I always enjoyed working out but I’d often get injured when I tried to advance my skills to a higher level. Going down the various rabbit holes researching injury and various other common health issues (such as osteopenia - which I had and beat naturally!) only increased my passion for anatomy, movement and the workings of the human body (and mind).
But enough about me.
Well, if you are somewhere in midlife (or beyond), and you're taking care of:
growing children
grown children
grandchildren
aging parents
extended family
and any or all of the above
.....while simultaneously working hard on your career and/or community involvement - - all at precisely the time in your life when your body is going through significant changes, my group is for you.
These unique circumstances of our lives can derail even the most healthy, organized or athletic person.
Even though our individual circumstances may be different, there's one thing us maxed out women have in common.
We often fail to realize WE are our most important loved one.
Some of us think becoming stronger, leaner and more mobile is impossible at this stage of life:
I won’t go on, because if you know, you know.
I want to show you that you may FEEL maxed out, but YOU REALLY AREN’T.
You haven’t even begun to reach your limits.
No one knows what their limits even are!
You can eliminate the limits you set for yourself through nutrition, movement and mindset. You CAN look forward to a future of independence, confidence and satisfaction in your body and your life.
You can and should be proud of yourself.
It is called common humanity.
Common humanity means you realize it’s not “just you” — that tons of people just like you have challenges, make mistakes, and feel down or inadequate in some way, sometimes.
If you can see yourself as part of a larger whole, rather than some isolated person swimming in a sea of information, you’ll be more likely to succeed
